Around this time of year, things really start getting exciting at Creative Portraiture. Families come in for their annual photo shoot & holiday card designs start to surface...It really is a fast-paced, busy time around my studio and I love it!
I think the root of my work comes from the old family portraits I saw in my house growing up. I love traditional family portraiture that uses dramatic, shadowy lighting & painted, mottled backdrops. Typically, I set up my family shots and start shooting, but hope and wait for that moment that the family ‘lets go’….and click….crossing my fingers….I got it.
Shooting for the holdiays now.....
Traditional with a twist...
Location, location, location....

It's because you are so relaxed in your demeanor, that those around you feel so comfortable. I'm convinced this is the essential ingredient for a good photographer to catch a great shot!
